Thank you for allowing us to tell you about our company Earthceuticals®. The original idea of the company was born out of a very personal need. Our family is very allergic to many various perfumes, soaps, deodorants, etc. We would often have adverse reactions ranging from sneezing, headaches, and fatigue as well as triggering other mysterious ailments.

As we began to pay closer attention to these triggers and slowly put things together it became clear that the common denominator seemed to be certain fragrances and chemical ingredients found in the common products found inside and outside our home. We noticed that fragrances in our personal care items, cleaning chemicals and even our laundry soap could trigger these adverse reactions. We wanted to learn how and why this was happening and what we could do about it.

Like most of the general public, we did not ordinarily pay a great deal of attention to the ingredients of the various products we were using. However, after spending endless hours researching these ingredients, we began to realize that the scope of concern was unbelievably overwhelming and shocking.

After trying countless of products claiming to be pure and natural, we realized there wasn't only a problem with the products themselves but with the laws that governed them. The cosmetic and personal care product companies have been and still are able to police themselves. (See our news articles on the FDA). It was at this point we decided to make our own products.

In 2003 the company Earthceuticals® was born. Most people upon hearing the name for the first time are curious as to what it means. Myself, Paula Elder and my husband Dr. Roger Elder wanted to come up with a name that would somehow convey the concept of replacing synthetic and artificial man-made products with natural alternatives derived from plants, minerals and other natural elements found in and on the earth itself.

My husband's background as a doctor along with our diligent research helped us develop the products we offer today. We continue to research, develop and expand our line of products. It is our desire to eventually have alternatives for everything our family and yours use on a daily basis, from personal care products to cleaning supplies.

We believe that many of common personal care and household products today contain contaminates, pollutants and chemicals that are responsible for much of the poor health around the world. We believe that our planet as well as its inhabitants is at serious risk if things do not change. We are not alone; many watchdog groups are gaining more support enabling them to perform more in-depth research and reports with proof positive findings. As the public becomes more aware, we hope that the pressure on lawmakers and big companies will be left with no choice but to make safer products.
